Rockets from the ground up.

Founded in 1992, ERFSEDS members have been designing, building, and flying high powered rockets for over 30 years. ERFSEDS is one of the oldest organizations at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University - Daytona Beach. Our organization is known industry-wide for the deep passion and desire our members have to push boundaries and go above and beyond to solve challenging problems.

On campus, ERFSEDS teaches students how to think outside the box and design rockets from scratch, using course materials and advice from university staff. From an idea on paper to preparations on launch day, ERFSEDS members have the opportunity to experience the start to finish of various projects, including their own certification rockets.

Competition

ERFSEDS competes in the International Rocket Engineering Competition (IREC), the world's largest intercollegiate
rocket engineering conference and competition. The Artemis project builds a two-stage rocket to compete in IREC’s 45,0000 foot category.

YES, IT REALLY IS ROCKET SCIENCE!
