Rebecca Zurek President
Rebecca Zurek is a senior in Aerospace Engineering with a focus in astronautics. Rebecca has been a member of ERFSEDS for over a year, working on the recovery systems and as the current lead for Project Zephyr. She currently holds a Level 1 NAR Certification, has 18 standing US National Rocket Performance Records, is a member of the US International Spacemodeling Championship Team, and has experience in multiple aerospace-oriented projects and research papers.
Brian Davies
Vice President
Brian is a junior studying Aerospace Engineering. He joined ERFSEDS in his freshmen year and has been an active member on project Zephyr. He has a NAR Level 1 certification and is currently working toward his NAR Level 2 certification. He currently serves as the club's Vice President.
Jacob Egan Treasurer
Jacob is a senior studying Aerospace Engineering. He joined ERFSEDS in his sophomore year and has been an active member on project Kleos. He currently serves as the club's Treasurer.
Luke Farmer Chief Engineer
Luke is a senior studying Aerospace engineering. He joined the club at the beginning of his freshman year and has worked on projects such as Zephyr, Hummingbird, and Kleos. He is now excited to learn more about and assist all of the ongoing projects in the club.
Samuel Muller Secretary
Samuel is a junior studying Aerospace Engineering with a minor in Space Operations. He joined ERFSEDS in his freshman year and has been a member of Projects Artemis, Prometheus, and ACME, while also working with the ERFSEDS PR team. He has a NAR Level 1 certification. He currently serves as Secretary of ERFSEDS.
Joseph Wakefield Public Relations Officer
Joe is a junior studying Space Operations with minors in Aviation law and Human factors. He joined ERFSEDS in his freshmen year and has been an active member in project Prometheus. He has a NAR Level 1 certification. He has previously served as the Hephaestus team lead within Prometheus and one day hopes to be a Lawyer practicing space law.
Mark Anthony Bernal Chief Avionics Officer
Mark Bernal is a senior studying aerospace engineering with a focus in astronautics. He joined at the beginning of his freshman year. He has been involved with project Zephyr, launch initiative as well. With his position as Cerberus lead, he hopes to helps student gain a better understanding of rocketry electronics.
Nathan O’Hara Safety Officer
Nathan is a Junior studying Aerospace Engineering with a focus in astronautics. He joined ERFSEDS in Fall of 2022 during his first semester at ERAU and has been active in project Zephyr, Artemis, and ACME. He also has a NAR Level 1 HPR Certification. Nathan is the current Safety Officer of ERFSEDS and hopes to one day work on spacecraft that reach the moon or beyond.
David Vestal Trailblazer Project Lead
David is pursuing a Master's in Engineering Physics. He received his Bachelors of Science degrees in Physics and Mathematics at High Point University. He Joined ERFSEDS in Spring of 2023. He previously served as the Safety Officer and is currently the Project Trailblazer Lead.
Colin Clarke Prometheus Project Lead
Colin is a junior studying Aerospace Engineering with a concentration in Astronautics. He has been an active ERFSEDS member since arriving on campus in Fall 2022, and has spent most of his time within Project Prometheus. He is the current preoject lead for Prometheus. Upon graduation, he hopes to work for Collins Aerospace.
Marissa Isabella Kleos Project Lead
Marissa is a senior in Aerospace Engineering with a concentration in astronautics and has been involved with ERFSEDS since freshman year. She currently holds a Level 1 NAR certification. She plans to lead Project Kleos towards integrating the organization's first dynamic control system.
JD Weiss Zephyr Project Lead
JD is a junior studying Aerospace Engineering with a minor in Astronomy and Astrophysics. He joined ERFSEDS in his freshmen year and has been an active member on projects Zephyr and Artemis. He has a NAR Level 1 certification. He has previously served as the Public Relations Officer and was appointed as the new Zephyr lead.
Giovanni Taurozzi
ACME Project Lead
Giovanni Taurozzi is a senior studying aerospace engineering with a minor in computer-aided design and manufacturing. He joined his freshman year and worked on Pathfinder X, Cerberus, and Trailblazer. He now is the ACME project lead focusing on improving the club's composite manufacturing skills.
Nicholas Huffmyer
Artemis Project Lead
Nick Huffmyer is a junior in Aerospace Engineering with a minor in Electrical Engineering. He has been an active member of Artemis since his freshman year and serves as the Artemis Project Lead. He holds a Level 2 HPR Certification from NAR and is working on his Level 3.
